Some clarifications and additions and the chance to use the name "RA Dickey" in a post one more time

Last night's entry was done up while still in the press box of the AJL as was a semi-rush job. What can I say... you get what you pay for. So here's a point form of a few things that got left behind last night.

- The goal scored by Mathieu Martin in the Commandos 5-2 win over Campbellton was his first of the season... and to crush the vague rumor on Twitter, he didn't stand there like he didn't know what to do... he acted like he does it all the time. Real smooth... sort of.

- For Dieppe goalie - and Moncton Flyers product - Vincent Charest, the win in nets was his first in the MHL... and he looked good doing it, especially while stoning Tigers forward Michael Hache point blank with 1:40 left in the second in what was then a 3-2 game for the Commandos.

- Nikita Kucherov plays for Quebec, not Rouyn-Noranda, just to save any confusion... so the alleged tussle set up between him and Ivan Barbashev won't take place tonight (or possibly ever depending on how the rotating Euro scenario plays out with the Remparts)... but if Denis Kamaev gives Ivan the look, doings could become a-happening.

- Congrats to the Baie-Comeau Drakkar for winning the award for quietest 13 game point streak in QMJHL history. The Drak are 11-0-0-2 over that span, have won five of those games by four goals or more and haven't lost in regulation since October 12th. Good for them... it's been a long time coming.

- In addition to RA Dickey winning the NL Cy Young award, David Price took home the AL honors. Good for him... I guess. I'm still not totally over Game 7 of the 2008 ALCS so excuse me for not jumping for joy. Besides, I was hoping against hope that Jim Johnson would either win or at least finish higher in the voting race (he ended up 7th). As far as I'm concerned, anyone who contributes to the Orioles making it back into the playoffs like he did deserves the Cy Young... as well as any number of perks including - but not limited to - premium stock options, a yacht full of harems, and whatever Jim Palmer uses to keep his hair looking the same as it did 40 years ago.

Cats vs Huskies tonight... Huskies like to play it fast and loose... if the Cats decide to do the same we should see a high scoring thriller... that both coaches will hate. They'll get over it though.
